Stressed Out! That was the understatement of the year not long ago for Rita. In the span of 10 years, Rita faced many high-stress life-changing events: her personal journey was filled with life-changing challenges: new marriage, infertility, adoption, family death, becoming the caregiver to an aging parent, and coping with her own chronic health issues, all while attempting to balance the demands of working in the healthcare field. 

Rita spent 20 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in both the United States and Canada, several years on as a part of the Charlotte, NC Trauma Flight team, and 16 years as a licensed  massage therapist. With 36 years’ experience in the healthcare field and her in-depth study of stress management and self-care, Rita now educates others, using simple techniques to combat stress.  

Her book, “Simple Self-Care Saved Me!” was released in 2018 and has readers across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. She is an accomplished speaker and does stress education and strategy implementation through workshops, seminars, and her membership-based community.
